Your request is on its way
One restoration company serving your area now has your job request, so keep your phone on you with the ringer up.
- 1Expect a call or text from the company's own number, which may look unfamiliar, and we have no say over the timing. If you've heard nothing after one business day, treat the request as unmatched, and call your insurer if you haven't already.
- 2Ask which licenses your state requires before you agree to any work, and check them with the state. Get the scope and the price in writing, and don't sign an insurance check over until your insurer knows about it.
- 3Any text from the company stops once you reply STOP. If you'd also like us to stop sharing your details, use the Do Not Sell or Share page.
If you smell gas at any point, get out of the house and call 911, then your gas utility once you're outside. Don't try to shut a gas valve off yourself.
Before the company arrives
- Keep taking photos as the water spreads, and film every wet room before anything gets moved.
- If it's dry underfoot, move valuables and electronics out of the wet area.
- Don't run fans on sewage or floodwater.
- Have your policy number and your insurer's claim line handy, and for every call, write down the date, the name and the claim number.
- Keep every receipt for emergency supplies and temporary repairs.
