Restoration in Doral
Doral's fee schedule, which took effect October 1, 2026 and is called the 2027 Fee Schedule on the city page, replaces valuation-based fees with a cost-incurred model. It prints a $200.00 minimum permit fee, a plan review fee of $40 to $825 and an inspection fee of about $100 to $1300, set by work class in a separate matrix, and $125.00 for early start permitting. Demolition has no printed row in it.
December 31, 2023 brought in Edition 8 (2023) of the state building code. The Ninth (2026) Edition arrives on December 31, 2026, and applications submitted online after 4 PM on December 30, 2026 must follow it. You'll find the Building Department at 8401 NW 53rd Terrace, 305-593-6700. The permit clerks' counter is open Monday to Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with Friday by appointment preferred, and filing goes through the Permitting and Licensing Self-Service Portal.
The city's Flood Information page calls Doral a CRS Class 6 community in the NFIP and asks owners to call the department before they build, alter, re-grade or fill. It leaves out the 50 percent substantial damage threshold. Doral is covered by Miami-Dade's High-Velocity Hurricane Zone rules. Doral's boundary is touched by AE and AH flood zones on FEMA's map, and its median year built, per ACS, is 2006. Permit fees no longer follow job value here, yet the schedule says the value of construction can still be used to work out substantial damage or improvement.

When repairs touch the structure or the electrical, plumbing or mechanical systems, they usually need a permit from your city or township building department, so ask the company which of you pulls it.
